Erzgebirge craftsmanship behind the Christmas Pyramid Holy Family, 4-tier, 51 cm by Theo Lorenz
Theo Lorenz produces this distinctive wooden pyramid in Seiffen, a renowned centre of traditional folk art in Germany’s Erzgebirge region. Crafted by hand from native woods including maple, alder, ash, spruce, beech and lime, it represents genuine German craftsmanship and authentic Erzgebirge wood art. Measuring 23 x 51 x 23 cm, its tall proportions create an impressive decorative centrepiece without appearing overly bulky.
Six candle holders surround the bottom tier and accommodate 14 mm pyramid candles or wax candles. Heat rising from the burning candles gently drives the large fan above. This movement turns the central shaft, bringing the individual scenes to life as the figures slowly rotate. The Christmas Pyramid Holy Family, 4-tier, 51 cm by Theo Lorenz therefore combines atmospheric candlelight, movement and traditional craftsmanship.
